The player market
Put your coins where your read is.
Shares in the people who play here. A price starts at their in-house rating and moves from there — every game they play moves it, and so does every trade, including yours. Back somebody and their wins pay you; short them and their losses do. The rest is in the price, whenever you decide to take it.
01
Pick a side
Back somebody and you make money when their price climbs. Short them and you make money when it falls. 150 shares each way, 25 per person per side, and a short can never cost you more than you put in.
02
Results pay out
A win pays everybody backing them 1% of the price per share, in coins, straight away — 1.5% on an MVP. A loss pays everybody shorting them the same. You keep the position either way.
03
Or take the price
The rest of a result is in the price — about 2.5% a game, either direction, and moved by everybody else trading too. 3% to open and 3% to close, and trading halts while somebody's in a game.
You're signed out, so this is a spectator's view — the prices and the tape are real, the buttons aren't.
The floor
A price is the ladder's number moved by what the market thinks: backing somebody pushes it up, shorting them pushes it down, and every game they play moves it and drags it back towards their rating. A win pays everybody backing them 1% of the price per share in coins, and a loss pays everybody shorting them the same — both taken out of that result's own move rather than added on top, so nothing is printed twice. Opening costs 3% and closing another 3%, whichever way you're pointing, so a round trip has to be worth making — this is a hold, not a flip.

A share price is one number — in-house rating, the same one the leaderboard has shown since the day it opened — moved by what people do with it, and never further than a band either side. It isn't the site's opinion of anybody, nobody can be bought outright, and there is no cheapest-first sort here and never will be. A dividend never comes out of the player: it is carved out of the price move their own result earned, so nothing anybody does here costs the person being traded anything. Shorting is deliberately the quiet half — who is backing somebody is public on their page, who is shorting them is shown to nobody at all, including them, and no notification anywhere will ever tell somebody they've been bet against. If you'd rather not think about any of it, you never have to — and if you'd rather nobody traded you at all, say so and we'll take you off the board.
